ice cream

We just went to Molly Moon's, a local homemade ice cream place. In addition to the traditional strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, they do a rotation of artisan/boutique flavors -- like salted caramel, "scout" mint, honey lavender, thai iced tea, balsamic strawberry, and blood orange sorbet. And they have waffle cones that are made fresh -- like, they make the waffles and shape them around the cone forms to make the cones right in front of you in the shop. And they give samples. So I had a split single scoop (half salted caramel, half honey lavender), and the boy had half salted caramel and half scout mint. Yum!

They've got a couple of special sundaes that I'd like to try, too -- one that's dark chocolate with bergamot-infused olive oil(!), and one that's blood orange sorbet with lemon curd and sour cherries. Mmm...

Definitely a place to remember, especially as we move into summer (and especially since it's less than fifteen mintues' walk away).

Man, if such a thing was a fifteen minute walk from me I would STILL look like a stay-puff person. Sarah Mclachlan's song about "Your love being better than ice cream..." is certainly a way to consider things.

Whoa! Sounds fantastic. Your icon for this post, BTW, is awesome.
