I really like this book, which was one of my requests for Yuletide. I'm not bothered by the episodicness, but found the central romance thin and the villains quite cardboardy. But I loved the setting, the premise, and the other characters. The sequences with the prospecting triad and with Melissa are so vivid and poignant.
