(no subject)

The cats do not like being given their antibiotics. (Cordelia takes them orally, for a respiratory infection; Alys is getting drops in her ear, for the last stages of an ear infection.)

I would feel worse about this if their dislike was less flipping adorable. (Cordy rubs her nose and looks offended; Alys shakes her head and looks offended. In both cases, it's the cutest kittenish 'looks offended' ever.)

:D

(This is probably stating the obvious, or being unnecessarily officious, or something equally obnoxious, so sorry if it is) You'll probably want to start clipping their claws soon, if it's a practice you'd like to keep up. Similar to their adorable manner of being irritated, I remember Jane and Norton were both pretty cute about having their claws clipped as kittens. They're less cute now, but quite tolerant (only occasional writhing, no biting, clawing, or hissing). Compare to Raz - only two-fifths of the claws, but about ten times the complaining. She requires a multi-person technique, whereas Jane and Norton can be held and clipped by the same person! Amazing!

I hope your kitties feel better soon!

Cordelia and Alys. Not Regan and Goneril? I suppose that wasn't quite the combo of names you were looking for. I have to assume that my suggestion of "Beezle" and "Bub" probably didn't make the top ten list : ). Good luck with the "infected" critters.
