resolved
1. Eat with more ecological awareness. Primarily, a) cook vegetarian at least twice a week, and b) further reduce the percentage of my seafood consumption that's non-sustainable.
2. Blog a book every two days, for a total of 183 books blogged in 2011.
3. Get the pigeon book off to its first readers by February 1, off to its second readers some reasonable time thereafter (depending on the scope of edits the first readers and my own reassessment suggest), and get it in a state to start submitting to markets before the end of the year.
4. Walk briskly for 20-30 minutes at least 5 days a week.
5. Finish at least one short story to submit to markets.
6. Find some volunteer opportunity that I can do at least once a month (that does not require lots of interactions with other people).
7. Learn to meditate.
8. Start going to yoga classes, ideally to work up to attending once or twice a week.
9. Start actually practicing social niceties like sending birthday and holiday cards.
10. Do at least one productive thing every morning, before checking e-mail, to start the day off on a less procrastinatory foot.
I'll reassess on April 1 (April Fool's Day, ha) and see if I need to add, remove, readjust, or otherwise fuss with the resolutions, but this will do for now.

I haven't made resolutions in ages, because I never manage to keep them. But maybe I should start up again. I think mine would all involve productivity, less internet, more exercise, and more cooking.

The two volunteering activities I remember that didn't require a lot of socializing were doing copying and filing for an AIDS hospice charity and shelving books at the public library.
