Quote of the day, from [livejournal.com profile] mrissa:

Eating raw eggs in cookie dough puts you at risk for salmonella. Taking a walk puts you at risk for sprained ankle, sunburn, getting hit by a car, lightning strikes. Loving people puts you at risk for getting hurt. Doing nothing at all puts you at risk for living a joyless existence until you die alone and miserable. You do the math on all this as you like, but I'll be over here licking the spoon.

On the other hand, vegan cookie dough has no salmonella risk.

Do you have any good vegan cookie dough recipes you could recommend? Mine always come out like little rocks, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I tend to use regular recipes, with margerine (that earth balance stuff that's not hyrdogenated), soy milk, and NRG egg replacer. I use more weird recipes for cakes and frosting, for some reason. (If you want your cookies softer, you might up the sugar a little. For years, my mom thought cookies didn't need the amount of sugar called for and halved it. The cookies were sweet enough, but rather rocklike.)
