So today I walked across Woodland Park to Green Lake, then around Green Lake, then back. Round trip according to a rough Goggle Maps estimate is 4-5 miles; I walked it in a little bit under an hour and a half. I feel fantastic, though sweaty as heck. Fresh air, pretty scenery, ducks, and a brisk enough pace to get the blood pumping and the endorphins going.
If I could get my walking pace up so that I could do it in closer to an hour, I could probably make the time to do it every day, probably before work. Walk around Green Lake, come home, take a shower, start working.
It was really pretty, too. Nice clear day, lots of ducks, cool enough to still be pleasant once I got a sweat up but warm enough that I needed just a sweatshirt, not a jacket.
