Music Library meme. It looked like I was going to get off without any embarrassing results, and as soon as that happened I turned up an embarrassing result. (It should be obvious when you get to it.) Oh well. I never pretended to have good taste. ;)
( yay for music )
On a semi-related-but-not-really note, I figured out why I always find the 'genre' selection in ID3 tags somewhat useless. For one thing, there are a lot of songs I think of as being part of more than one genre. But more importantly, my mental categorization of songs is completely idiosyncratic. In my head, the relevant categories aren't things like 'pop,' 'rock,' and 'jazz' (in fact I frequently can't figure out if something is pop or rock or what), but things like 'waif trance,' 'bands who only wish they were as angry as System of a Down,' 'bands that are actually angrier than System of a Down,' 'bounce,' 'good cover,' 'hilarious cover,' 'music that is actually terrible but has overpowering nostalgia value,' 'geek rock,' and 'sad panda.' Among others. Which, you know, tends not to fit so well in the little genre dropdown.
