Are there any fantasy novels about the woman knight Britomart? The Faerie Queene version or her counterpart Bradamante from Orlando Furioso.

Because there should be.

Even if I have to write them myself.

Oh man, there *has* to be. I'd bet there's something written in the early '90s (you know, when all the fantasy books geared towards women used a single illustrator that drew the women with long, flowing hair?) You know, like this:

Oh my goodness, yes, the Thomas Canty and Brian Froud period of fantasy book covers.

(I shouldn't say 'period.' As far as I know, they're still doing covers. But they are inextricably linked in my mind with a certain period of 90s fantasy novels, especially fairy tale retellings and books about the sidhe.)

If nobody's written a fantasy novel about Britomart, it's just a crying waste. I mean. She is the one who rescues her love interest, rather than the other way around. How cool is that?
