I went shopping with morganlf this weekend, for clothes. Hurrah!

It was a blast (we had a hysterical giggling fit over the ruffled hot-pink spandex shirt) -- I obtained a much-needed pair of black work pants that fit, a dark blue t-shirt with a medievalesque gold pattern on it, a swirly olive-green hippie skirt, a lavender dress, and a pair of jeans that make my ass look fabulous. (Sorry, but it's true.) As well as an excellent pair of bronze-patina'ed brown heels, and the most excellent black leather calf-length boots with low heels (and some attractive straps!).

I knew I'd done good when I got to checkout for two reasons. One, the cashier said, approvingly, in a beautiful Eastern European-accented voice, "Every girl needs a pair of black leather boots. They go with everything." And two? I'd set my shopping budget at $300... and the register rang up $295 and change. How awesome is that?

(morganlf bought a lovely dress, too -- I can't wait to see her in it when we go out some time!)

Nordstrom Rack, where slightly out of date fashions go to die. ;) They have a lot of stuff for very good prices, if you're willing to paw through the racks.

hooray for shopping! I def agree on the boots, they are essential. :D hmmm maybe time for me to go shopping too? heheh..
