My immediate reaction upon seeing anything involving X is 'oh God Tokyo Babylon is so good'. It really, really is.
I have been unable to watch the X anime due to trauma from having been around for the final phase of the magazine serialization of the manga. See, the way it worked was that the thing started appearing not every month but at random times, and also the number of pages per issue and the amount of content in those pages decreased geometrically. There was an issue that appeared after four months of nothingness that was, I am not exaggerating, six pages long, and had two lines of dialogue. We joked in my house that some month there was just going to be a two-page spread covered with gears, feathers, and shards of glass with a caption box reading 'Destiny...' and that was going to be the whole issue. I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SURPRISED. It was a relief when they finally admitted they were canceling it.
Hopefully one of these years I will get over the horrible frustration enough to watch the anime, which I am told actually ends.
