You know, I gotta say, video games and science fiction really give a girl some perspective. I may not be looking forward to my parents' visit, but at least a) my dad isn't an evil Sith lord intent on oppressing all sentient life, b) I haven't made a deal with the devil that initiated an inexorable slide toward spiritual degredation, and c) I am not being followed around by an allegory of my own inner darkness manifest in the form of a silver-haired badass with one wing.*

* - Not that said silver-haired badass is particularly bad-looking, but I'd prefer to be followed around by hot supernatural folk who aren't likely to kill me or my nearest and dearest.
