1. I have not yet seen Episode III. I know, I know, it's a horrible thing. I absolutely must see it before it leaves the theaters, or I will live to regret it. Can I drum up some people who could bear to see it again to go with me some time in the next week or two? (The weekends aren't great - party this weekend, wedding next - but weekday evenings, I'm pretty free.)

2. The next Miyazaki movie is Howl's Moving Castle. The timing on this is excellent, as I just re-watched Spirited Away, which I love. Interestingly, it is based on a Diana Wynne Jones novel which I loved as a middle-schooler. I think it's a fairly limited release, but LA is a big city; I know it's showing at least at the Pacific El Capitan in Hollywood. I don't need to see this one on the big screen as desperately as I need to see Episode III (big-budget special effects demand the big screen and surround-sound more than thoughtful, dreamlike animated works, plus Star Wars is an icon of my childhood), so it's a lower priority, but I'd like to see it. It opens this weekend.

Also: I have mango mochi ice cream from Trader Joe's. This has nothing to do with movies, but is delicious.

Mmmmm... green tea mochi is good.

And I imagine we could be talked into seeing it again.

...Especially considering I've been telling Connie all along that I'd be happy to see more Hayden see it again with her.
