I want to learn to garden, or bead, or sew, or throw pots, or tan leather, or something. Something done with the hands. Right now my only hands-on, craft-like activity is cooking, and I think I need something else. I live too much in my brain; not enough in my body.

Also: flight or invisibility?

Beading is tedious. Gardening is grimy (and requires space). Sewing can be expensive (but lots o'fun). And tanning leather smells hideous (though leather work is fun, but hard to find applications for). How about knitting (or crochet)? Or a nice herb garden (small and handy) Or wire work (like beading only not so small and frustrating). Actually, there is this really cool looking glass shop on Orange at Wardlow that looks like it offers classes. I keep meaning to check it out. Oh...and don't forget the climbing gym on Wardlow-- it doesn't ever seem to be crowded. I was going to join but got distracted by the beautiful heated pool at the Jewish Community Center less than a mile east of the climbing gym.

Flight would probably be more fun than invisibility, and would also satisfy your need to move. If you worked on invisibility, you would just sit around being invisible-- which could be fun, but not especially active. Let me know if you find class; and if I have to supply my own wings, or if there is a way around the feather requirments.
