I want to learn to garden, or bead, or sew, or throw pots, or tan leather, or something. Something done with the hands. Right now my only hands-on, craft-like activity is cooking, and I think I need something else. I live too much in my brain; not enough in my body.

Also: flight or invisibility?

I like gardening and sewing, and did some beading and pottery when I was smaller. But my favorite thing to do with my hands is generally cooking and baking. I don't do so much gardening now that (in Seattle) it is cold out. But a warm kitchen and yummy food is good winter fun. Perhaps that is not the case in a place where you are barbecuing on the beach still. (On the other hand, if you want tips on some of those occupations, tell me.)
