Nov. 27th, 2007 07:58 pmGood things:
* I have officially started on holiday present synthesis. Whee.
* I disassembled a chicken into chicken meat, bones, and skin, and then made stock out of the bones and schmaltz out of the skin. There are probably five meals in four pounds of chicken that way -- maybe more, depending on what I do with the stock. I am content.
* I have 40,000 words and change on the NaNovel. (I'm too lazy to pull it up and see exactly how much over 40,000.) I think I can make it to 50,000 if I focus.
* The Internet means that one can always find a source for watch parts, miscellaneous gears by the pound, velvet scraps, and charms shaped like odd things, without leaving the comfort of one's living room.
* My packet of waterproof paper and pens has arrived. This means I can write in the bath. (Or in the hot tub, when it gets repaired.)
* Dinner tonight is roast beast. I quite like roast beast.

Date: 2007-11-28 07:59 am (UTC)For me chicken skin was always something you pretended not to eat because it was bad for you, and then surreptitiously made the little pile on the side of your plate disappear when no one overbearingly calorie conscious was looking. ;)
