my father is in the hospital with elevated blood pressure and chest pains. apparently they ran a bunch of tests on his heart and it seems to be okay, thank god -- doctors seem to think he's going to be fine -- but it's still a worrying situation, esp. as his father died of a heart attack. please, send whatever good thoughts or prayers or whatever you do his way. we don't always agree on things, but he's my dad, and I love him.

And if someone has a family history of heart problems (or even if they don't), it makes sense for heart attack signals to send someone's blood pressure skyrocketing. Hopefully something fairly fixable triggered the feelings, and everything will be treated with ease :)
