My Olympics viewing has not lead to many brilliant thoughts. My commentary is sort of like:

Men's swimming: "Oh my god, he's so fast."
Women's swimming: "Oh my god, she's so fast, too."
Men's gymnastics: "Oh my god, he's so strong. And flexible. And hot."

So. (I'm going to have to go looking online for equestrian and fencing, my favorite events. I'm also pretty fond of track & field, but that's usually fairly easy to find on TV.)

We did epic shopping today -- got a DVD organizer (finally), a bookshelf for my cookbooks (also finally), and new headphones for me (just call me Cora, Destroyer of Headphones, Audiobane). Very productive. Then I made pork stir-fry for dinner. ...And I am now exhausted. whee.

Sleep soon.

yeah...the female gymnasts kind of always look painfully under fed. Male gymnasts are always too damn short! Cute, but just not tall enough. I'm not especially picky when it comes to aesthetics, and I try not to discriminate based on physical attributes, but being too much shorter than I am is a deal breaker. The tallest guy on the team this year is 5'7", that's three inches shorter than I am, and that is just barely within acceptable parameters. Michael Phelps is 6'4" (but fifteen years younger than I am, so THAT is most certainly not within acceptable parameters : ).

Incidentally-- to completely change the topic-- today is Claudia Christenson birthday, that it really matters, but kind of cool sort of.

Sorry Pavaling, but would you really WANT to date me? I have been known to eat kind, innocent folk as a mid-morning snack *wicked chuckle*
