Anime: Naruto 1-6

I have comparatively little to say about Naruto, except that he reminds me a good deal of my cat, Alys.

Sakura needs a hobby. I mean, a hobby besides Sasuke. Aiyeeee. Someone tell me she gets better eventually? (On the other hand, Angry Chalk Drawing Sakura can join me for a beer any day.)

Sasuke is so Serious Business that I want to mess up his hair just to see what he does about it. (Sulk, probably. And glare.)

And I kind of love Kakashi. He's awesome.

Sakura does very satisfyingly get better, though it's a LONG wait. Basically, the series does give its female characters excellent moments and even arcs of awesomeness, but overall sidelines and shortchanges them in favor of the boys. So I find it frustrating but not to the level of a dealbreaker.

I'm actually okay with the boys getting most of the screen time, since they seem to be the protagonists, really. I'd just like her to develop an interest in something else—ANYTHING else.

But yeah, not a dealbreaker.
