That could be a picture of my cat Boots - as she looks a bit like that kitty, and is ALWAYS getting stuck in the blinds! We had to pay to replace the blinds in our last apartment, we are already saving up the $$$ to replace the blinds in our new place! :o)

Don't you own your place? You could install an AC unit if you think you would get enough use out of it to justify the cost.

It's relevant exactly one week a year, reliably, so it's not worth either the money or the space it would take to install AC. Not since we wouldn't use it 360 days a year. It's just annoying for the remaining 5 days.
