coraaMy friend, going back to school: I have a cinema theory class thing for my fine arts requirement this semester.

Date: 2007-03-27 01:57 am (UTC)If you get far enough, you realize that no one takes that crap seriously anymore. But you have to read it to be able to say why it sucks. And I don't know why, 30 years later, we're still giving it enough credence to continue paying any attention to it at all.
Funny -- I heard a rumor (from a professor) that her husband-at-the-time Peter Wollen (also a scholar) actually wrote "Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema."
