Feb. 12th, 2009 12:02 amThe musical theater version of The Lion King is quite impressive, and very enjoyable, and tweaked things in a few very minor ways that nonetheless delighted me in a I-love-interesting-female-characters sense.

Date: 2009-02-12 06:43 pm (UTC)The puppets and costumes were amazing, but the thing that impressed me the most was how much the gender balance of the musical shifted just by changing Rafiki's gender and putting the lioness hunting party on the stage more often.
