The musical theater version of The Lion King is quite impressive, and very enjoyable, and tweaked things in a few very minor ways that nonetheless delighted me in a I-love-interesting-female-characters sense.

More later. (I'm hoping to spend part of my long-weekend vacation catching up on LJ posts!)

Isn't the icon great? :D I yoinked it from [livejournal.com profile] bluebombadier.

The puppets and costumes were amazing, but the thing that impressed me the most was how much the gender balance of the musical shifted just by changing Rafiki's gender and putting the lioness hunting party on the stage more often.

So great! LJ doesn't recognize the username.

I hadn't noticed the gender balance shift at the time, but I can totally see it now that you pointed it out. The puppets & costumes were just awesome, too!

That's because I misspelled it. [livejournal.com profile] bluebombardier should work. Whoops.
