Today for dinner I had a wonderfully light, filling, comforting meal of congee, seasoned with sesame oil and soy sauce, and topped with an over-easy fried egg. Yum. I only wish I had green onions to top it with.

Tomorrow's dinner is going to be something heartier and meatier, though, I think. But I'm not sure what. So I'll open the poll early. ;)

(This month's Washoku challenge is a bevy of miso dishes, but I can't make those until I've had a trip to Uwajimaya. Looking forward to it, thought!)

Yes, that's a great idea! (I never wind up using enough green onions to use up the whole bunch when I buy them, no matter how hard I try to think up stuff to put them in.)

I'm growing a bunch of green onions because I bought a bunch and didn't use them all. So then I cut off the top green stuff(which had started turning icky) and stuck them in dirt.

The silly thing is, we still buy them from the store when we need to use them because for some reason we forget that we have them growing. Also, mine are pretty thick. Some are maybe an inch in diameter.
